There is a unique narrative being written over the landscape of the Middle Atlantic. A story of awakening for many who have long been in a spiritual slumber. From her sub urban neighborhoods to influential urban centers many of the 40 million who call the Middle Atlantic home are living in spiritual ashes. There are too few churches listening, learning and translating the gospel in meaningful ways. Over the past few years a collective of like-minded missionaries, emissaries from different backgrounds, ages, and ethnicities have come together in friendship around a common vision- to begin fresh expressions of church through gospel-centered disciples of Jesus. Our desire is to equip and send those who sense a call to starting new churches in the Middle Atlantic Region.

Sending Matrix

BASIC TRAINING (1 day initial orientation)
Sent Network provides aspiring church planters with an initial training that orients one to our vision, values, strategy, and the nature of our church planting network. You will meet other church planters in our Network during this Basic Training. We try to insure each aspiring church planter is clear about the competencies and characteristics we seek to develop in all our church planters so they will be effective in their calling.

CHURCH PLANTER’S RESIDENCY (up to 16 months)
Sent Network  provides holistic training of aspiring church planters. We assess and develop competencies and characteristics for our church planters in the areas of HANDS(ministry skills), “HEART”(devotion & character), and “HEAD”(biblical wisdom). Our Residency utilizes action-reflection learning out in edgy missional situations,  ministry in teams & groups, mentoring, forums, seminary through distance learning and intensives, & other relevant courses and conferences.

RELATIONSHIPS, FORUMS, and COACHING (monthly-ongoing)

Once a church planter is commissioned to plant, training in our Network doesn’t stop. We encourage active church planters in our Network through ongoing relationships, forums, mentoring and coaching that is relevant to the challenges they face in their teams and church plants. These times of monthly training also combine with time for relational encouragement, prayer, and friendship with other church planters and spouses.
