There is a unique narrative being written over the landscape of the Middle Atlantic. A story of awakening for many who have long been in a spiritual slumber. From her sub urban neighborhoods to influential urban centers many of the 40 million who call the Middle Atlantic home are living in spiritual ashes. There are too few churches listening, learning and translating the gospel in meaningful ways. Over the past few years a collective of like-minded missionaries, emissaries from different backgrounds, ages, and ethnicities have come together in friendship around a common vision- to begin fresh expressions of church through gospel-centered disciples of Jesus. Our desire is to equip and send those who sense a call to starting new churches in the Middle Atlantic Region.

Start A Church

Planting a church is a Spirit led process confirming one’s calling, qualifications, and competencies. We prepare future church planters to walk through this process in order to fruitfully fulfill the calling God has on their life. Below are the basic steps we have established to affirm one’s call to church planting and fruitfully reproduce disciple making churches centered on the good news in Jesus that transform their culture. If you are interested in starting new churches with Sent look over the steps below and contact us for an application.

1. Read over this site about starting new churches with Sent  (vision,  values, beliefs, training matrix)

2. Submit an application for prospective church planters and complete an interview with the Sent team.

3. Complete our Church Planter’s Assessment

4. Complete our Church Planter residency

6. Be commissioned by a Sent church to build a core team to start a new church.

7. Participate with other planters in ongoing Sent Network forums, relational care, prayer, and mentoring.
